Success

I feel that my mother is successful because in the definition of success; "The accomplishment of an aim , purpose or the gaining of fame, wealth, or social status," and my mother has comfortably said she has reached her aim/goal of becoming a Personal Support Worker. I feel this way because she has done school after she had dropped out of highschool, and that was one of her many goals. My mother has been married to my father and they both have completed a goal of their lives. My mother bacame a P.S.W she said that becoming a P.S.W was another goal of hers. I think my mother is successful because she has successfully raised six children. My mother completed school after she dropped out and applied for a job. Overall, I think that what makes my mother successfull is that she completed her goals and not just sat around and talked about it.

My Career Choice

For my career choice I have chosen to be and iron worker, to do so I would require an apprenticeship they usually takes 2-3 years of on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Most unions require iron workers to be at least sixteen and have at least have their grade 10 and they must write an exam and pass. The stages are Apprentice, Experienced Apprentice, Journeyperson, Foreperson. The yearly salary varies, for an Apprentice can make up to 20-35 thousand a year and an Experienced Apprentice can make 35-40 thousand a year. Journeyperson can make 40-70 thousand a year, and a Foreperson makes up to 50-80 thousand a year.
